Chichu Art Museum

This art gallery was designed by Tadao Ando. It features permanent exhibitions of works by Claude Monet, Walter De Maria, and James Turrell. Reservations are necessary for visiting groups of more than ten people.

Opening Hours 10:00 - 18:00 from March 1 to September 30 (last admission at 17:00). 10:00 - 17:00 from October 1 to end of February (last admission at 16:00).
Closed Mondays *Except when a national holiday falls on Monday, in which case the museum is closed on the following day. The museum will also be closed irregularly for maintenance.

Transportation Approx. 40 minutes by taxi or bus from Takamatsu Airport --> Takamatsu Port --> Approx. 1 hour by Shikoku Kisen ferry. Approx. 50 minutes by bus or train from JR Okayama Station on the JR Uno Line --> Uno Station --> Walk 5 min. --> Uno Port --> Approx. 20 minutes by ferry. Use the Choei Bus to get around Naoshima Island. Get off at the Chichu Bijutsukan bus stop.
